Freaky Friday by Mary Rodgers (1972)

I remember, Mr. Pierce, my 5th grade teacher reading Freaky Friday to our class every day after lunch.  It was the highlight of the day!   I remember the books my teachers read out loud better than almost anything else they ever taught me.  You too??  Freaky.jpg

You’ve probably already seen the 2003 Disney version of Freaky Friday staring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.  Even so, you’ll enjoy the original book immensely!  The names are a bit different and so are many of the circumstances. But the fun of a teenaged girl and her mother swapping bodies for a day is intact.  Oh what a ride!

Middle Grade Reading Level, 144 pages, Fantasy, Published 1972.
